my account all messed up because I changed my user name

Can anyone help? I am tearing my hair out. I am on a worpress blog and decided to create an avitar. OK I registered on wordpress and uploaded a pic and all was well. Then I decided to use my registration to do my own blog but noticed it was showing my name which I didnt want publically known. I went into my profile and changed it. Now when anyone clicks onto my avatar in the blog I am watching it says account deleted. What a mess !
