My account has been hacked and I don’t have access to it anymore

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have started receiving notifications by my host about ‘new user’ created for my wordpress website.
    I have now discovered my wordpress domain is not accessible from my host nor from my original wordpress account.
    Basically the hackers kicked me out.
    The ‘website’/wp-admin takes me back to my ‘website’.
    I can’t access my website anymore, so deleting the new users is not an option.
    Here are the illicit emails so far:
    devidpentesting@yandex,ru; (associated with Amazon affiliate marketing website)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff) (website probably linked to affiliate marketing program)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff);
    (email visible only to moderators and staff);
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    If anyone knows a way to report them to the host their websites, it would be a great service for society.
    I have raised tickets with y host but wordpress does not have direct support, so I’m at a loss for options.
    Any advice?
    Thanks.

    Hi soniafortunag8kuw0,

    I understand how frustrating and scary it can be. Would you please share your website’s address?

    It seems you have a self-hosted WordPress site. You should know WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different platforms. To understand more, please read this.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    For a WordPress.org site, either contact your web hosting customer support or ask your question in WordPress.org forums.
