My account has no history of billing receipts or auto bill being turned on but I was still billed.

I have an old domain that I need to make sure is not being auto billed. I have followed all the instructions to turn off auto billing however it doesn’t appear to be turned on in my account and I can find no history of billing. However I was auto billed for it last year despite that so I believe it must still be turned on somewhere. I am trying to insure that this does not happen again. Can you please assist? Thank you
