My account is broken?
-
Something in my account is broken and I can’t make any edits to it. I go to my WordPress page, I click edit, then it takes me to my account settings where it tells me “Please set a primary site”. The account settings on my end is essentially broken and I can’t make any edits whatsoever. I can’t do anything to my site and it’s frustrating and stupid. What is going on?
On a side note: I did have a different site name with WordPress when I first started. I later rebranded that site to something else. I think I replaced that domain with what I’m using now.

I would say you are logged in to another account instead of the account owning that site. To restore access to the account owning that site, you can use the Transaction ID. You find all info at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-help

What I had did (or at least I think I did correctly) was replace my previous site with my new site by just erasing what I had and replacing it with new texts, link, photos whatnot. And then made a new domain name for that page and replaced the previous domain with new domain (I think I did that part correctly) And I had been able to make pages, edits, whatnots on the new site before but now I can’t do anything and I have no idea why. I can’t literally do anything.

Hi there,
I took the liberty of the address of your Primary site under My Profile (top right corner) → Account Settings → Primary Site, as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#primary-site to make it match the current URL of the site.
This should solve the issue but please let us know if the issue persists.
We’ll be happy to assist!
