    This isn’t even a live blog and I have no idea how this has happened.

    My account ought to be connected to my friend’s blog https://joannawatters.com/blog/

    I’ve been paying for Akismet on this blog for the last few years and ahve the API key etc. I’ve now removed the credit card details so I’m not charged until this is sorted.

    (Please note that I’m also saddened that I’ve recently been charged £80 for my own website – and I don’t even have comments on the blog – haven’t had comments for a couple of years.

    I’d like to know how to ask for a refund. I’ve now uninstalled Akismet from my own website and deleted that Akismet account, so it doesn’t happen again).

    I can’t see any charges on this account – have you received an email regarding this charge? If not, it’s possible to locate this charge and ask for a refund via https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/

    If you want to permanently delete castleacre.wordpress.com, please follow the steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

    Then
    2. Connect my account to https://joannawatters.com/blog/

    The site joannawatters.com is not hosted with us here at WordPress.com but instead is a WordPress site hosted on LCN web hosting. To clarify, we are not the only provider of WordPress sites, and we are not directly connected with LCN, they are an independent provider.

    To clarify, are you having issues logging in to joannawatters.com? Or do you mean to say you wish to export the site at LCN and migrate it to be under your account with us here at WordPress.com?

    Instead I want to detach my account from this url – how do I do this?

    2. OK, it seems that I don’t need to connect my account with a non-Wordpress hosted account. That’s fine.

    Thanks for confirming. I saw the site listed under your account but can confirm you are not the site owner, you are only listed as a “contributor” to that site.

    I have removed that connection so now you will not see it listed here: https://wordpress.com/sites/

    Now that @bigidealynne has no sites associated with it, if you wish you can close this account, and it will not affect joannawatters.com. You can follow the steps here to permanently close your account, which will remove your personal data from our service: https://wordpress.com/me/account/close
