My account is set on US$, although I live in Brazil

    Hello, I’m a Brazilian user of WordPress from the city of Florianópolis and I intended on upgrading my plan from free to personal, but I’m confused about the pricing. On the page https://br.wordpress.com/pricing/ I see the information that the personal plan costs 12 Brazilian Reais monthly (144 Brazilian reais a year) but as soon as I click on it, I’m taken to a second page where the cost shown in 4 US dollars a month (48 US dollars a year). All the next steps continue on showing the US$ 48 information. Just to be clear, US$ 48 is VERY different from 144 Brazilian Reais. According to the WordPress Twitter account, my WordPress account might be set to US dollars, when it should be in Brazilian Reais as you can se here: https://twitter.com/wordpressdotcom/status/1342006772203139072!
    I hope I can find a solution so that I can upgrade as soon as possible! Thank you!

    I do have a follow up question, actually! Seeing that I’m upgrading my plan, I’d like to acquire a new “.com” domain and use it to continue my “legendasincronizada.wordpress.com” blog, transforming it in “legendasincronizada.com”, but keeping the content and the stats, is that possible? Because every time I start on order to upgrade, there is a website linked to it, right? When I choose to upgrade via dashboard, the checkout page shows:
    Your order
    Site: legendasincronizada.wordpress.com
    But I also went through https://br.wordpress.com/pricing/ and picked the new domain, then the checkout page shows
    Your order
    Site: legendasincronizada.com

    Given that I want my wordpress.com site to become .com, which path should I choose in order to upgrade?

    That is the correct path. Adding a custom domain to your site does just that, it adds the custom domain to your existing site, so you won’t lose anything. :)
