My account isn’t connecting to my website/url

I can see my website, view it, etc but when I log into WordPress I’m told I don’t have a website.

You see a message that you don’t have a website, because you don’t have any sites with us under the
egelhaususername you used to post here.If you have a site hosted on WordPress.com, it’s under a different username. Or otherwise you have a site using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider, in which case the site has no connection at all to WordPress.com.
If you share the URL of your site, we can point you in the right direction.

So, I’m obviously confused. I get emails about WordPress updates to the site at the email I’m using. However, when I try to log-in with that address, I’m told I have no website tied to the address. If I try using the other email address of mine, I get the same message.
Is it possible to delete the WordPress website using the domain name so that I can start over elsewhere?

That site is not hosted here on WordPress.com. It’s using the WordPress software and it’s hosted by Sonic.net.
So, you need to contact your hosting provider regarding your questions.
