"My Activity" Comments Need a "more" tag
-
Ever since WordPress.com moved “comments I’ve made” into the new WordPress.com homepage’s “My Activity” tab, I’ve developed the Dreaded Scroll-Finger. It’s one of the reasons I shy away from participating in already long comment threads.
An example is this WordPress.com News post about the New Dashboard, http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2013/06/17/beautiful-makeover/ which ran to 349 comments, one of which is mine. On the News Blog, comments are thankfully broken down into pages. However, in the “My Activity” tab, the scroll is horrific. Here’s a screenshot of my browser window in the “My Activity” tab after zooming out to try to accommodate the thread. This is only about 1/5 of the entire comment thread length that appears there.
I’d really like to see something like a “More” tag split here, just to save me from the Dreaded Scroll-Finger. Hoping that WordPress.com can help cure this insidious ailment.
P.S. Contrary to earlier Staff advice, for some reason, the check box next to “Notify me of follow up posts via e-mail” was not checked by default when posting this new topic.
