My archive list looks strange, and not all of my approved comments are displayed
-
Just noticed today that my month-by-month archives list is dislplaying wierd rows of numbers. Also, I have approved recent comments on my current post which are not displaying. Any ideas as to ahat is happening here?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is also happening on my blog – the archives list displays a string of numbers beside each month. I tried deselecting the box then re-selecting it again, but it didn’t help.

Interesting to hear that you are also experiencing the same problem. How do we access a wordpress technical person to diagnose exactly what is happening?
-
I think they just get to us when they can. I’ve been scrolling through WordPress Reader blots. It seems to be happening to others – anyone who has wordpress at part of their URL so I’m sure they’re working on it. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Ok, … It does sound like its some technical issue with the site, so I guess they are aware of it and will get back to us as you say.
Thankyou for responding. -
What I notice is that both themes ie. your Structure theme and thisistheway123’s MistyLook theme are retired themes. Themes are retired when they no longer support all features. That said, I do not know if there’s a factor here or not. Not to worry as Staff will help sort this when they work their way forward to this thread.
-
Really??? I did not realize that these themes were retired – thanks for pointing that out!

See here http://theme.wordpress.com/retired/structure/
and here http://theme.wordpress.com/retired/mistylook/ but also note that your issue may not be connected at all. -

Thanks to you both – yes, that is exactly what I am experiencing. I guess the WordPress engineers must be aware of this issue by now, and will be addressing it. Meanwhile, I might try updating my theme, & see if that fixes it…

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Don’t bump your thread because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Don’t create a new thread or send an email for support either.
When bloggers keep bumping any thread thinking they are going to get service from Staff more quickly they aren’t thinking straight because that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response. The same is true if you email more than once the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.

It means that when you post into a thread the timestamp moves up ie.it’s bumped forward.
-
Yes, I was going to ask for clarification on that one too. Also, just to let the thread know, I did try three other active themes in preview mode and the same thing happened – I get a string of numbers instead of a single numerical entry.

That is valuable information for Staff. Thanks so much for posting it.
