My articles are being lifted by another site

Hi, My site’s, geekgirlauthority.com, articles are being lifted/stolen by other sites. They are being lifted in their entirety. My hosting provider said although it’s unethical there was no way to stop this and to reach out to the offending sites and ask them to take the articles down. This has worked a couple of times but mostly not. These are sketchy sites to begin with and sometimes their contact info is fake.
It was also suggested that I find out who their hosting provider is and contact them but I found the info difficult to obtain and, like I said, some of these sites are super sketch.
Is it true that there is nothing I can do? No plugin or security measure to stop this? Certainly can’t afford legal action. Any advice would be much appreciated. My writers work hard on crafting their own articles and they are not happy about this.

Usually just typing the site URL into a “Whois” gives you details of the host.
