My audio files are deleted. How do I get them back?

  my audio files were deleted. Software renewal problem? Glitch? Quite a lot of time making those. Would like to get them back.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I don’t see any record of audio files deleted from your site. I still see quite a lot of audio files in your site’s Media Library here: https://laingclass.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php

  If you’re still missing audio files, please let me know the names of the files or a link to a post or page where the audio file is missing and I can take a closer look. :)

  The problem was the files were not appearing on the Blog. I checked on the dashboard just now and could see icons. So I hit the update button. Now they are back. But I still do not know what happened.

  I do not recall doing anything weird. At least not more weird than the things I usually do while editing my blog.

  I’m glad everything is working now. :) If this sort of thing happens again, please send a link to one of the posts on your blog where the files aren’t appearing and we can investigate it for you.

  Update. I think I have discovered the problem…

  I just tried to upload an Mp3 file. It did not work because I needed to get an upgrade that will allow additional file types (including Mp3s) . So I upgraded and things seem ok.

  I do not remember (though my brain might be the problem) getting a notice saying “Hey! Better renew, or your sound files will not work!!”

  That would be helpful. Redundancy is good.

  Hi there,

  The WordPress.com Premium plan adds audio upload features, but even if that upgrade expires your site’s existing audio files should continue to work. That said, I’ll check with my team to make sure there isn’t a glitch with that. :)

  If there’s anything more I can do, please let me know!
