My batting average with replies

Curious how long it take for “someone” to reply to posts here….when I don’t receive a response does it mean my question is not valid?

I guess it is the luck of the draw…who happens to be passing by at the time. Your last question about political ads in your blog couldn’t really be addressed by other members. Only staff or Matt himself could explain their policy on ads.
There are many regulars in these forums doing sterling work answering questions. I just log in once or twice a day to check my own blog. Sometimes I look in on the forums and if there’s a question I think I can answer that hasn’t received a response in 30 minutes or so by the usual gang I might say something. When I first started blogging 8 years ago, no one answered my questions on the forums either. So I guess we’re both batting about average.

Considering many people here have free blogs I think things work quite well. Remember if you upgrade to Personal or Premium then you get email and live chat support for any problems you encounter.

But yes, it’s other members sharing their (little in my case) knowledge on the forums. Although staff are often here too. And if you do have a really urgent problem, typing Modlook in the tags box on the right should get the attention of a WordPress happiness engineer.

I understand the upgrade and what it offers, but I cannot afford it now. Senior living on SS and lost my house to a tornado the day after Christmas. Thanks for your reply…
