I uploaded a new blog to my site. I am also the blog subscriber for testing…this is a new webpage. Anyway when I got my email from the blog subscription it has coding on top of the blog. It doesn’t look very professional. I don’t know what that is called so I can’t even begin to look on the massive amount of forums. Below is a copy of what I am seeing on my blog. Please help it looks ugly!

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

I don’t understand what you are saying. First you should turn off the italicized text. It is very hard to read and doesn’t make it pretty. 2nd are you saying that I have a problem with jetpack??????? Is that what causes the coding on the top of the email??????? Also I have wordpress.com and I have a wordpress.org linked. It shouldn’t be this hard to receive help from this company. I feel like I made a mistake choosing wordpress. I should have stuck with godaddy at least I could speak to a human directly.

As @timethief indicated, http://www.porterindex.com is not a WordPress.com site. It is a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software and connected here via the Jetpack plugin. We have no direct access to your site’s dashboard here, as the site is not on our servers, it’s on Dreamhost’s. And you are paying Dreamhost for that site, not us.
The new post notification email is generated via the Jetpack plugin you have installed in your site. Judging by the text you pasted in your first post, either you are using a shortcode on your site that is incompatible with Jetpack, or your theme itself is incompatible with Jetpack.
Either way, you’ll need to contact Jetpack support for help with that, as we are not able to help with it in this forum. They might not be able to do anything about it if you’re using incompatible themes or plugins on your site, but they are at least better placed to confirm whether that is the problem.
