My Blog Admin?

“something else would change in the process” what would that be?
You can change the display name on your Profile Page under NICKNAME or you can change the username, assuming nobody else has had that username, following the instructions in the Support documents. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
-
I’ve noticed that when I change what blog I list as my primary one, that it changes to that blog instead. Is that what it refers to?
-
I’m not following you. The display name and what blog is primary are completely unrelated.
-
What you’ve shown/described is not the blog ADMIN name. It’s the name of your primary blog.
-
Yea, this is really confusing for me as well… But it DOES happen. When I change what blog I list as my primary one, it changes what I circled in the image above to that. Like in the image above, it says “My Own Writing” but when I change my primary blog to the other, it changes to “My Own Photography”
-
Are you sure justjennifer? Because when I hover over it with my mouse, it says “My Blog Admin”
-
Yes, that is correct. Your primary blog name shows up like that only on your WordPress.com landing page/new dash, nowhere else.
Some days I think TPTB like making things confusing.
-
Sorry, we posted at the same time.
FWIW-“My Blog Admin” also shows up for me when I hover my cursor over my primary site name in the drop down.
-
Alright… that is really confusing. So there is no way to change it to my username instead?
-
Not on that screen, apparently.

Personally, I dislike that entire area of the site. I simply log in to my primary site and then navigate via the drop down menu in the Admin bar, where your username *does* appear.
