What version of Word are you using? Word 2007 has a blog template and will publish direct or to draft to a WordPress blog. You can also add pictures to the Word doc, resize them to fit, and they too, will upload. You can also choose categories right from word.

I just tried to past a flash object into the HTML of one of my posts. On save, it stripped the code out (which is fine, I realize I did it the wrong way), but now my theme is completely broken – actually, there is no theme. If I go try to change themes, none of them work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

rusty – flash, javascript, iframes and forms are stripped out for security reasons.
Your blog renders fine in IE7. Try closing your browser and looking again. If it still looks broken, reboot. Sometimes that takes care of things that are otherwise inexplicable.

It is now working. I wonder if someone else hitting it had anything to do with it. No reboot was necessary, now I’ll go to work restoring the old theme and all the sidebar widgets I’d removed in trying to fix it.
