  my friends who are using firefox can’t view my blog. apparently, it takes forever to load & all their other programs would hang as well. kindly advise.

  There’s something in there that made FF hang for me.

  The theme loaded fine, but there’s a load of pictures which took an aaaaaage and hung FF until they’d loaded.

  The file shangrila3 in This Post is 280kb.

  If you have 10 of those at that size (and you do have LOTS of pictures) that’s 2800kb or (simplified) 2.8mb.

  That’s a heck of a lot of data to download.

  Perhaps you could shrink the file sizes (search the forum for jpeg resizing for how). That will help lots I would think.

  It’s the photos. Even though you have them resized with widths and height measurements, the entire photo needs to be downloaded.

  You may want to read the FAQ on uploading and using picture files and thumbnails.

  Took about 30 seconds here to load and I’m on an OC3 and that’s a big pipe.
