My Blog doesn't appear on google search

i just want to find out, do blogs not appear on search engines like google or bing? my blog seems not to be showing up when people search for it, they just have to type the address directly or they won’t find it.
is there something that i should know because am new to all this wordpress thing.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to post frequently. It takes weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot in posts that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
