My blog doesn't look anything like the theme I've purchased
-
I recently purchased the Zuki theme and when I activated it, it looks hideous. It makes all my content look jumbled and disorganized. I want it to look exactly like the sample theme but the instructions are extremely confusing and do not give me any insight how to make this happen. Is there any hotline I can call which can give me a step by step guide on how to make it look like it does in the sample?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It seems you’ve changed to the “Radcliffe” theme. If you’d like some more insight into the layout of the theme, I’d recommend starting here:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/radcliffe/And if you do decide to go back to Zuki, this is a good jumping off point:

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the help! Yes, I changed to the Radcliffe theme because the Zuki one was a complete mess. I was trying to make it appear exactly like the sample version but it’s extremely confusing. It doesn’t explain everything clearly. I was trying to get the slideshow that appears on the front page which features a slideshow of all my recent posts. Is there a number I could cal to speak with an actual person? If not, is there any way I can get a refund?

Hi Sandra,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulty setting up the theme. This theme offers lots of great and unique features but does require some setup.
I can walk you through setting up the slideshow on your homepage as it appears in Zuki if you’d like to try:
1. Choose a tag that you’d like to use to assign posts to show up in the slider, for example: “front page slider”.
2. Assign this tag to the posts whose featured images you’d like to appear in the featured image slider. You can assign up to 10 posts.
3. Insert that tag into the “Tag Area” found through Appearance > Customize > Featured Content
Please note that these featured images on these posts will need to be 1200px wide by 800px tall to appear correctly.
In case you’d like more information about the slider, it can be found under “The Front Page Featured Posts Slider” at:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/zuki/support/
Since it’s a premium theme, we do offer support through a theme-specific forum with specific moderators:
http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/zuki
Finally, I’m also happy to refund you the price of the theme. The final goal is to make sure you’re happy with whatever you decide :)
Please let me know which way you’d like to go, and I can set that up for you!

Thanks, that was somewhat more helpful but I’m having trouble with the featured images. WordPress won’t allow me to make the images 1200 x 800. How can I fix this?
-
Can you tell me a little more about the images you’re using?
Since the size of the images necessary is on the larger side, you may need to reduce your image file size by compressing and saving them at a lower quality.
In the case of making the images you’ve already uploaded larger, WordPress cannot make the images larger than the original file. If smaller images are stretched to become larger, they would become fuzzy/distorted and destroy the quality of the image. Looking through the images, that may be the case for at least a portion of the images.
If it helps to understand, the featured image feature across all themes is meant to shine a spotlight on one or more images, in this case in a slider on your homepage.

They’re all images from other websites such as Vogue and POPSUGAR. They’re images of celebrities on the red carpet. Do the images have to be exactly 1200 x 800 or can they be smaller?

For the images to display correctly in the slider they will need to be 1200 x 800.
The demo site created the social media icons with the use of a custom menu. This is done through:
Dashboard > Appearance > Menu > Create a new menu
Make sure that you name it “social”.
Once you’ve added the social media links and saved it you can add it as a widget to your “Front Page – Sidebar 1” widget area:
Customize > Widgets > Front Page – Sidebar 1 > Add a Widget
You can find more information about the custom menu under “Custom Menu”:

Okay, the social media links aren’t showing up as buttons. I want them to show up as they do in the demo. You can see what they look like here http://www.thegaietygirl.wordpress.com

Please make sure that your menu is called “social”, only “social”. It has to do with how the theme was built.
You can see more about this in the forum posts like this one:
