My blog editors cannot see "Private" pages

I have a couple of tutorial type pages for my community of ~30 authors. They are marked as “private”. The problem is that it is very hit and miss as to whether they will be able to see them or not. Some can see them one visit and not the next. Others not at all. Others from one device and not another, even though they all tell me they are logged in, and can post articles, even when they cannot see the pages.

Am I missing something. This is VERY frustrating.

I don’t really care if the pages aren’t truly private. All I want is a place to put the tutorial type posts (like how to schedule a post for the future) without them being discoverable via the menus on the site layout.

In other words, I’d like to publish them at location like “/schedule” but not have them appear in any of the navigation menus or site links. Perhaps this is possible and I cannot find it.

Any suggestions you have as to why the pages can’t be seen or how to post them not private but not discoverable would be appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
