My blog gets no traffic. How to boost traffic?

I created this general blog a few months ago, and have been posting regularly. I know that blogging isn’t all about the audience, but I would like to get a good amount of views, and hopefully, when I have enough views, register a domain and WordAds, but it would be pointless with the amount of traffic I get. Occasionally, I get one view, but most of the time I get 0 views a day, what am I doing wrong? I blog regularly, and put effort into making good content, I share it with people I know, and I have a twitter where I tweet every new post. How can I get more traffic?
