My blog got a little messed up
-
Look at my blog, where it says “Top Posts” it’s all messed up. Help?
-
Will you please stop opening new threads on the same thing?
I don’t see anything messed up in your blog. Now, to get this thing finished, what exactly do you want to do? Put an image in your sidebar? Which image, the “150th newspaper”? Plain image or image that will act as a link?
-
And could you please explain why it’s messed up instead
saying “Look at my blog, where it says “Top Posts” it’s all messed up. Help?”.Teck

Panaghiotisadam – This is a new topic I’m talking about. Where it says “Top Posts” it says “This is my first post so…” And that is one of my posts. It’s below the bar it’s supposed to be in.
-
Every thing is normal with that widget
that is how that theme displays content
for that widget… -
“This is my first post so…” shows up exactly where it should, and its being there means that this post got more clicks than the others. The previous text widget is wrong, because its text gets stuck too close to the “Top Posts” heading. I can tell you how to correct that, too, but what about the image issue?

Well, that is one that I want in my sidebar, in my text widget, too. But that’s not the one I want linking to another site. This has no link. So first, can you teach me how to put this pic on? I’d really appreciate it.
-
That is an issue you’ve already started a thread on. I refer you back to that thread for your answers, which TSP has provided.
-
Yes raincoaster, but I forgot to add that I want it on my sidebar. They thought I wanted it just on my regular page.
-
It works just the same: put it in a text widget. TSP gave you the link to the FAQ on doing that right in that thread. Don’t keep talking about the same issue in multiple threads.

Ok – I’ll try my best…
To put an image in a text widget, you use this code:
<img src="URL">
The URL is the complete address of the image (what you have in the address bar of your browser when you view this image, starting with “http” – or the URL that WP will give you when you go to your post editor, click “Add an image”, choose an image from your computer, let it “crunch” etc.)BUT, the image has to be small enough to fit in the sidebar (no more than 190 pixels wide). Your “150th newspaper”, for instance, won’t do – it’s too large. Do you have an application with which you can scale down an image?
To put an image that will act as a link, you use this code:
<a href="targetURL"><img src="URL"></a>
URL as above; targetURL = the address of the site you want to link to.To create space between a text widget and the next widget, paste this at the end of the text widget text:
<p> </p>
(You can use it more than once, for more space.) -
Thanks a lot panaghiotisadam! I’ll just take another screenshot of my picture, in a smaller version.
