My blog has been HACKED??!!

  I was looking around to see why visitor’s comments went through even though I never approved them because I have comment moderation enabled. But then I saw this:

  

  I never said I wanted emails sent to me whenever someone comments. In that section, I never checked anything having to do with getting emails. And I also had comment moderation enabled. The top section is how I had it. But below that, I never did that.

  I highly doubt anyone is HACKING your blog. Seriously. You’re way too paranoid.

  Probably, during some of the maintenance that’s been going on lately, your settings were accidentally changed. Just change them back. If you really think someone hacked your blog, change your password and drop the WP.com folks a feedback note through your Dashboard.

  Perez Hilton was hacked one time. And a Jessica Simpson fan site too that I visit. :(

  Well, then, if you really think you’ve been hacked, change your password to something really complicated with capital letters and numbers. Just change your password in general. That should help.

  Think about it… Why would someone hack your blog just to change a few settings? that doesn’t make any sense. If someone was going to hack your blog, they would change your password so you couldn’t get back in and then post whatever they felt like.
  During all the upgrades the server’s going through, some setting get reset back to default. Just change them bak and keep an eye on them.
