Here is the correct link
http://support.wordpress.com/contact/@diamond
If you put contact at the end of the link
it will direct them to the support contact page. The reason I mentioned something about it
is because they changed the link structure from.wordpress.com/contact-support
To
support.wordpress.com/contact/ -

Hey, I don’t care who they did it for. They’re shooting emselves in the foot. No new blogger is gonna stick with WordPress. Old ones might since they’re already established. New ones will be clueless as to how to find the convolutions which lead to the forums and support; let alone getting to their own damned blog.

Some said that about the last upgrade too, and the number of people blogging here has increased every month since then.
I expect new bloggers will have a much easier time of it since they are not familiar with the old interface (which from a UI standpoint was less than mediocre). New bloggers will probably find it very intuitive for the most part.
You can always go self-hosted and download and install 2.6.5 and stay with it forever if you wish. My hosting, including my domain name registration costs me about $5 per month. It’s the “Tiny” shared hosting package from A Small Orange and I can highly recommend them as a host.

The numbers have increased? What does that mean, statistically? Would it have increased even more without the upgrades? I’m sure that it would not have decreased without the upgrades. Point being that blogs are growing, in general. Stats mean nothing, really they don’t. But thanks for the self-host option. Gonna pass on that. My objective is strictly to blog; not to get annoyed every couple of months while WordPress plays geek games with our blogs.
