My Blog Has Been Wrongfully Flagged As Mature

I believe that this is an outrage and I am highly upset, because nothing on my blog is Rated R, M..etc.
When someone marks your blog as mature I believe that the people in charge of wordpress should view the blog themselves to make sure that it should be marked as mature, again I feel as if I am being singled out and I do not appreciate it.

Reports of mature blogs are always reviewed by staff before being flagged. Obviously the guys at wordpress are big Hannah Montana fans and don’t take kindly to pictures of her deing defaced in Paint.

I know exactly how you feel, that happened to me also when I first got a blog on wordpress; I think you should tell mark (keymaster) he is the one that helped me when I went through the same thing =]

Well that is wrong and unfair because I do not have any mature content and when I looked through the guidlines on what will cause your blog to be flagged as mature, my blog site does not fall into any of the things they said..I am starting to think that the rumors about wordpress are true. This is unjust and totally bars my freedom of speech/expression.

You will have to contact staff on Monday during hours to discuss it with them. I do know that they take each on a case-by-case basis. There is also the possibility it was a mistake. At any rate though you will have to contact staff and discuss it with them.

Wrong. No readers mark blogs as Mature. They can send a report in that they think it should be mature and I review by looking at the blog, reading posts and I then decide.

True. I’ve marked a blog as mature, but until it gets looked at, nothing happened. I even got a personal thank-you for the heads-up.

I know my blog is marked as mature because in the forums my username is not linked to my blog even though i put the url in my profile.

Well maybe they just won’t link to your blog from the forums anymore because somebody clicked on the link from here and complained. It doesn’t mean you’re marked Mature.

hannahhaters: the link from your forum username to your blog has nothing to do with the Mature flag (and again, your blog is not flagged Mature). I believe it comes from the Website field of the Contact Info section of your user profile.
antivalentine: complaints about web sites don’t cause anything to happen automatically. All blog reports (spam, mature and otherwise) go to a queue where they are read by a staff member who decides what action to take, if any.
