My blog images won't show

    Hi, I was mucking around with different themes and at one point while changing the header the website kind of got stuck and glitchy and now all the images on my blog won’t’ show up, they are still all in the gallerys but won’t show up on the pages.
    Weird thing is that it looks absolutely fine on my friends computers but all I get on mine is text. All other websites are fine the problem is isolated to only my blog on wordpress, other blogs are fine too. Have deleted all internet history etc. but no still joy. I’m still a bit new to this so there is a chance I’ve done something totally daft.
    What do you think i have I done?

    I don’t see anything particularly wrong. Would you please try clearing your browser’s cookies and cache?

    Hi Macmanx,

    still the same fustrating problem. I deleted cache, history, cookies, did a whole system scan, sent a link to blog from another computerjust in case (in case of what I don’t know) , still didn’t work. What I discovered though is this… I visit the blog (just on my computer and using Mozilla) no images – I look in ‘tools’ and ‘error console’ and it brings up a whole string of error messages, go to any page in the blog and the same thing and they seem to do with reading image files from the template. eg:

    Warning: Unknown property ‘box-shadow’. Declaration dropped.
    Source File: http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/coraline/style.css?m=1304098726g
    Line: 21

    and

    Warning: Error in parsing value for ‘background-image’. Declaration dropped.

    Does any of that make sense?

    Should I ditch this blog and start over again? If so how?

    p.s. you might also need to know that before the whole problem started I was trying to change my theme header and when I downloaded the image from computer it got to the cropping page but it was all blank and couldn’t move out of it.
    I read the article on your blog titled ‘blank page death’ and it sounds ominously similar.

    That’s rather odd. I’ve checked on two computers and it seems fine, I’m guessing something may be wrong with your network.

    Would you please reset your router and modem? If that doesn’t help, please take a screenshot and upload it via Media -> Add New in your Dashboard.

    Hi again, I reset the modem, still no joy. Have uploaded some screen shots like you suggested. It only shows like this on my computer, is fine on my partners, he’s in the same house using the same wireless modem.

    That is incredibly strange. I haven’t seen anything like that before.

    I’d like to rule-out the possibility of a browser specific issue. Would you please try another browser, like Chrome or Firefox?

    Hi, I already use firefox so I just downloaded google chrome and SUCCESS! So now seems I either use google chrome as default or uninstall firefox and reinstall. any thoughts on that?

    Well, personally I switched to Chrome as my default from Firefox not too long ago. It has a much better use experience, and it seems a bit snappier.

    However, if you want to stick with Firefox, I recommend reinstalling.
