Hi,
The panel format is available for the Pique theme only on the page assigned as the static front page. It can’t be applied to the blog page, or even to another static page that isn’t assigned as the front page.
The Pique theme can’t be applied to part of a website, while another part of the website has a different theme applied. Your blog page is displaying as it should. However, if you set featured images on the posts, they will display as shaded background images behind the post titles and excerpts.

Nor can any WordPress.com theme be applied to only part of a website, while another part of the site has a different theme applied.

Thank you for the information. Now I know it is functioning as it should, I will explore how to set blog posts up well.
PS Songbook looks amazing! -

Having the same problem. I try to apply a particular theme and it seems to be “stuck” on Pique.
I don’t want any part of Pique on my page. Any suggestions for how to remove pique. Strange someone is having the exact same problem at the same time. :)

@drweisman22,
Hi. The issue in this topic is not elements of Pique being stuck on another theme. Rather, I believe the OP expected a feature available on the front page to be available on the blog page as well.
Please start a new topic, here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1.

@drweisman22, I can confirm that I do not share your error in having elements of Pique stuck. Rather, I did not understand its functionality. It is now resolved.

Thank you both very kindly. Following up on suggestion to start new topic. My apologies.
