My blog is being flagged by Webroot as being possibly dangerous?
-
Any idea why Webroot Secure Anywhere is flagging my blog site like this? (I am using the latest version of both Webroot and Firefox.)
There’s nothing on my (relatively new) site that should be triggering this alert. Could it have an expired SSL certificate? It is hosted here on WordPress.com. Thanks for any insight, or better yet for a fix. :-)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have used Webroot for years and once in the past I saw my previous blog (not on this platform) get a flag like that. When I contacted Webroot they responded by telling me to perform certain checks, such as CMS, SSL, and plug-ins to make sure they are up to date and working properly, and also to review my content to make sure there isn’t anything nasty. But that only applies to someone who is self-hosting; users here on WordPress can only do the “content-check” thing, because all those other elements are under the control of WordPress, not the blogger.
When I told WordPress that I only owned the domain and the content, not the site itself, they said I needed to contact the host and ask them to look into it. And it turned out that the problem was indeed being caused by a glitch on the hosting platform.

Sorry, meant to say “when I told Webroot”… not “when I told WordPress”.
Too many W-entities for a Friday evening, LOL

Hey! 👋
Thanks for making sure we look into this.
I looked at your website (thehaphazardgarden.com) and wasn’t able to trace any flags for content restriction or spam.
Also, the SSL is issued and working on the domain side of things.
As for plugins, you currently only have the must-use plugins built in WordPress.com, which shouldn’t affect that. For the content, I also didn’t notice anything that could be flagging Webroot.
Since there’s nothing to highlight on our end, I suggest you double-check with them to see if they can either remove any flags for your website or point you to what is causing this.
Hope this helps, and let us know if something else pops up. 🙂

Many thanks for checking into all the possibilities. It definitely is puzzling.
I did send a ‘please review’ request to WebRoot initially, and got the “check with your host” reponse. I’ll go back to them and relay the result of your checkpoints. Thanks again for making certain that there’s nothing wonky. :-)
