My blog is being linked to a porn site!!
-
Someone has taken my photos and is using them as a gateway to a hard core porn site they had created. I want to remove all of the previous content and start over with no photos
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
See here for what to do about content theft to get the web host that hosts the site to remove your stolen images from it http://en.support.wordpress.com/content-theft-what-to-do/
-
I went to the links, the home links of the places that stole my images and used my link to lure in innocent people to what are actually porn sites, possibly prostitution rings, and collections agencies, but none of them allow anyone to contact them. Oh they may have the words “Contact us” on their bogus sites, but they are all inoperable links.
It appears that my wordpress blogsite has been taken over (hacked) by “Go Daddy” and through that agency, these three other places have accessed and used my wordpress content or url link. The users are: [redacted] (porn and possibly prostitution) [redacted] (collections and loan sharks) All of the bogus sites have closed response boxes. They use a bogus title page on the stolen reference links such as mine. They have taken many others as well which they use to post random information. The home page takes you to the collections agencies list which seems to have operable links
and [redacted] (porn, using innocent images which they stole along with my link for wordpress that lead quite quickly to pornographic images, which they say they don’t own… they have the words “contact us” but they don’t work. How is it that “Go Daddy” has gotten into and is now managing my posts instead of wordpress.com for my wordpress.com blog site?
-
The [redacted] link that is connected with my blogsite at wordpress.com and others always open up to a page that has ” Zuri Zone” at the top of it. It kind of looks a lot like a wordpress.com page. However, the information is very random and disjointed though unlike most of the beautiful pages I see created by other genuine wordpress.com users.
Upon further examination though there is always a reference to [redacted] somewhere in the parent link. They are the collections agency, and loan sharks, among the three that have been using my wordpress link and/or images. It is not as disjointed as it may appear then; it is by design that we are being led to find a payday lender, a credit giver to someone who has no way of paying it back, a start up insurance company that sounds like baby food but which has no long term history. [redacted] is using misleading, stolen information to just get people to look at their link. It is a scam.

I should add that the point needs to be made that more than one blogger is experiencing the same problem.

Dear TimeThief,
I have not yet been able to contact nor to receive any help from the emails and further links that were included at the link you sent me: http://en.support.wordpress.com/content-theft-what-to-do/
The people who have hacked my blogsite and then used it to link to their porn sites or predatory lending sites by using further links, has absolutely no real way to contact them to even ask that the information stolen from our blogsite and placed on their blogsite without our knowledge nor with any permission from us. “Go Daddy” seems to have taken over the management of our wordpress blogsite and enabled our content, including personal images to be reposted on offensive and inappropriate websites. This usurping is making the wordpress blogsite then not into something that is useless for ordinary people, but also offensive in the outcome. The link that you sent me has not gotten me any solutions thus far. Is there going to be any solution?

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Oops. the word should have been “useful” rather than “useless” so that it reads: “This usurping is making the wordpress blogsite then not into something that is useless for ordinary people, but also offensive in the outcome.” Prior to now, it seemed that wordpress.com was user-friendly. Something has changed within wordpress.com itself.
How did “Go Daddy” get control of the blog we had at wordpress.com? They have opened up what amounts to being a Pandora’s box of evilness and nastiness. How can this stealing be stopped?

This might be helpful. Porn sites are not really about sex; they are about money. This will hurt them in the money. http://drinkscoaster.com/2013/01/02/whine-journalism-and-how-to-bring-the-splashback/

@ millslegacy and @mrnd5 I’m afraid that if the other (porn, etc.) sites are not on WordPress.com, we have no control over the matter. The best thing you can do is try to identify the hosting provider and file a complaint with them.
However, I’m confused a bit here as well.
@mrnd5 you state:
It appears that my wordpress blogsite has been taken over (hacked) by “Go Daddy”
and @millslegacy:
The people who have hacked my blogsite
It looks as though your WordPress.com sites, mrnd5.wordpress.com and millslegacy.wordpress.com, are fine.
If someone uses your content on a separate site, that can be frustrating, but that isn’t considered hacking.
Were either of you referring to another site of your own, and if so, what is the address? Did either of you perhaps register a custom domain that expired?

When I go to post at MillsLegacy.wordpress.com, it has been indicating that “Go Daddy” has taken over this blogsite. Is it possible that “Go Daddy” has hacked into my blogsite.
They took photos from my block and they reposted them on blog sites that lead to hard core porn and possibly prostitution.
Others use my http://millslegacy.wordpress.com in their opening links when I search using my own link. These links often open to a page that says “Zuri Notes” with a link to my blog site just below that. The information after that is very random and not cohesive. Pop-up ads then occur.
I have followed your suggestions and most of the links have been supplied by “GO DADDY” out of Scottsdale, Arizona or perhaps a site that uses another server, but it always seems to come back to “GO DADDY.”
The problems that I have found when I do my own research to try to contact the owners of these sites:
– The most offensive sites do not have an operable “contact us” option.
– In trying to figure out who is the server behind these offensive sites, I am only leaving more cookies, and potentially further problems down the line for me. So in trying to resolve the hacking of my own wordpress.com site by “GO DADDY”, I am only creating more problems for me.– Given the offensive nature of the first few links using my photos to lure people into looking at porn, hard core porn, and possibly prostitution, I have not dared to look further nor to explore the other links because they are extremely offensive. They may be related to organized crime.
– If the sites had linked back to my original post without attaching my images to other images that are hard core porn or if pop-up ads didn’t begin to happen by opening up their links, I would be able to agree that this isn’t hacking.
However, it is the abusive use of my link that is problematic in the following ways:
1. My images were taken without my permission or consent and then reposted on sites that are using them to lure people in to look at hard core porn (prostitution). This seems to be a crime by organized crime.
2. In the other cases, my wordpress blog site is being used to take anyone who looks at them to other content, which is very random and which lacks cohesiveness, and then pop-up advertisements begin to pop up on the computer screen. By looking at links associated with my wordpress blog site, everyone will only get cookies on their computer.
3. It may be that anyone who has gone to my blogsite at wordpress.com, now that it appears to have been hacked by “GO DADDY”, that they may have had some of their information taken too and recombined into a link that leads people back to our wordpress.com blog site which has been taken over by some kind of malware through “GO DADDY”
4. If there is anyway that you at wordpress.com can remove “GO DADDY”‘s access to my blogsite that would be most helpful. “Go Daddy” seems to be in control of all of my posts.
I am, in fact, asking that “GO DADDY” be removed from my millslegacy.wordpress.com. Somehow through “GO DADDY” it appears that millslegacy.wordpress.com has actually been hacked. It is in this regard that I need help from wordpress.com.
Here are the offending sites:
[very long list of sites redacted]
You help in getting this problem resolved would be greatly appreciated. My efforts to find the domain site have mostly led back to “GO DADDY”. However, in trying to discover the provider, I may have subjected myself to further attacks by “GO DADDY” subscribers.
The “contact us” links are inoperable at the hard core porn sites. Furthermore, Who would want to send a direct email to a hard core porn site or one that is already sending out cookies just by opening up their page?
Remedying this problem on my own has surpassed my capabilities. The fact that “GO DADDY” has accessed my blogsite when I go to make any post is something that wordpress.com needs to help me to get rid of so that millslegacy.wordpress.com can be an asset and a functional tool for us.
Your help and assistance is being requested.
Sincerely yours,
Mills Legacy -
By the way, Mills Legacy has nothing to do with woodworking.
Anyone who may have searched using the term “mills” would have observed that Mills Legacy isn’t about woodworking the first moment they opened up the blog site and took a first glance at it.
It would therefore make no sense for them to then create a link to millslegacy.wordpress.com
It seems far more probable that something has attached itself to millslegacy.wordpress.com ( I believe through “GO DADDY” each time I made a post.) and then perhaps they also take the information from anyone who looks at the site, recombines the data from both and creates a bogus new site using “GO DADDY” in some way.
This problem is too big and too complex for me/us to correct it at our end.
Could it be that “GO DADDY” which is a provider of web domains is seeking “to out” wordpress.com?

@millslegacy the links you included are not on WordPress.com, but are third-party sites over which we have no control.
For example, http://www.xxxhacking.com/Coulter-St-Creston-Ohio.html is not hosted with us.
Just because your content is on those sites does NOT mean your WordPress.com site was hacked. On the contrary, your site with us is entirely safe and operating properly.
For some reason these other sites are reposting your content without our knowledge or your permission. I can’t really explain why, unless perhaps you signed up with an SEO firm at some point in the past.
If you do a WHOIS search you can see who the domain registrar is, who the domain is registered to (if not hidden by domain privacy), and who is providing the hosting or site redirection (in this case, CloudFlare):
http://who.is/whois/xxxhacking.com
You can try going to each domain in your list and looking them up in the who.is database. You can then try contacting the hosting providers in the nameserver info and complain there.
As for your WordPress.com site, since these sites are linking to http://millslegacy.wordpress.com/ rather than millslegacy.com, what I’d recommend that you do is create a brand new WordPress.com address (e.g. millslegacyiowa.wordpress.com or something similar) and that should resolve the issue.
I noticed you deleted all of your content several days ago. Did you have a backup somewhere?
-
I have gone to Whoisit. All of the sites are related to “GO DADDY” but many seem to have or to go by another link as well.
I have not signed up with a SEO, which I believe means “search engine optimization.”
I did delete almost all of the content, including the media library, from my millslegacy at wordpress. That was the first step I took upon discovering that my link was being taken and used in inappropriate ways.
I am not savvy about computers. It was an effort to make the images at the porn site inoperable, but it failed, of course. I think that I can re-create some content for when I begin to repost or create new content.
I will follow your advice and change the name of the blog site at wordpress. Thank you.

Cloudflare is actually a service separate from the domain registrar and hosting provider.
At any rate, for whatever reason, these other sites were reproducing your content. I know it’s frustrating, and I’m truly sorry it happened, but it’s really beyond our control. Once again, to reassure you that you haven’t done anything wrong and that your site is safe, the actions taken by others on those sites has nothing to do with your site here on WordPress.com, and removing your content will not remove it elsewhere if they have already uploaded it to their sites. It also does not mean your account has been compromised.

http://headliners-online.blogspot.com/
This site may have been part of the group that is and which has been hacking into “Posts” that we have made via wordpress by millslegacy.com
-
Again, I’m very sorry for your frustration, but there’s nothing we can do if other sites are reposting your content. There is no evidence that they are hacking your site or anyone else’s.
