Do you mean when you click at your “Blog” menu item?
This is happening because this “Blog” menu item is pointing to a specific post (https://pulpbooks.wordpress.com/2015/06/07/blog/), and not to the Blog static page itself.
Is that the case? If so, I can help you setting up a better menu, just tell me.

YES! Thank you pedger, I see now that is the problem. As you can probably guess I am new to this!
I have now tried to point my BLOG menu item to my actual blog but have just managed to point it to my current post. I’d really appreciate your help.

Now I pointed my menu BLOG to my HOME (PAGE) — which seems right apart from the fact that my very latest blog post is at the bottom, while everything else seems to be in the correct order.

What is “everything”? I can see that your posts are in the correct order now.

Another thing I can point out is that you have a menu item called “Home”, but in fact it is linked to your “About” page. You may want to change that, I guess. :)
