my blog is down– please help

  When people try to access my main site kekiongacomics.com they get an ad page. I also cannot access my blog through wordpress.com or by entering “kekiongacomics.wordpress.com” directly. Please help!

  Have you paid the domain registrar that your purchased the kekiongacomics.com domain name from?

  I assume so. I receive the domain name as a gift, and it runs a year at a time and was last due in April.

  And even if the domain isn’t working, I should still be able reach the blog directly, shouldn’t I?

  If the domain was last due for renewal in April of 2012 and you did not pay to renew then you no longer have it the registrar who sold it owns it. As you have it linked to your free hosted WordPress.com blog I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance with removing the http://kekiongacomics.com/ domain from kekiongacomics.wordpress.com

  Not if you are domain mapping as the WordPress.com domain mapping upgrade is also an annual renewable upgrade.

  My IT person friend is looking into what happened with the domain name now.

  IT person says it is fixed! There was a problem on our end with the place we get the domain name. All is settled and we are just waiting for everything to be restored.

  No action is needed by WordPress at this time.
