My blog is nowhere to be found and appears to no longer exist! Granted, I haven’t blogged in 2 years but there’s 8 years worth of blogging that is gone and I’m freaking out!

We cannot help with that site as you are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Apparently there are outages on some of the major hosting services (hostgator, bluehost, etc.) and we’re getting some backlash here by people who aren’t aware they are posting in the forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com.
Just to clarify for those people who have self-hosted WordPress sites and may happen upon this forum reply, please check with your hosting provider.
