Hi there,
Is this for heatherheyford.com? That site is not a WordPress.com site, but a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software.
That domain is registered and hosted with GoDaddy.com and we have no control over it. Please contact GoDaddy support for help with this.

The most obvious sign to me is that I can see the Jetpack connection in your account. Jetpack can only be used with self-hosted sites.
The other clue is that if I look at your domain’s WhoIs details, it shows that the name servers are set to domaincontrol.com, which are the name servers used by GoDaddy.com:
https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=heatherheyford.com
For WordPress.com sites the name servers will need to point at WordPress.com.
It looks like your domain is now showing a Coming Soon page instead of the domain mapping error, so it looks like it’s correctly pointing to GoDaddy again.

So far you are the best helper I’ve had. So going forward if I want to switch my blog from WP.org to WP.com, how do I do that? Do I just start setting up my WP.com account as if I were a blog virgin (I told you I was a romance writer) and then once I get so far will it let me import my old content?

1. You first need to set up a new free site using this link:
https://wordpress.com/start/site/
It will only take a couple of minutes and you’ll have a fully-functional site. You will need a paid plan if you want to connect your domain here, so go ahead and add a plan on the Plans step, but only select a free address for now on the Domains step.
2. Next, go to the WP-Admin dashboard of the old site. Click on Tools ->Export and create an export file of your content. If you have a lot of content you might need to use the option on that page to export posts for only a few months at a time as we have a file size limit on imports of 15 Mb.
3. Here on WordPress.com, go to My Site ->Settings ->Import and import the .xml file you got from the existing site. The import will take a few hours to complete.
IMPORTANT: your existing site needs to be online and publicly viewable when you do the import here, otherwise we won’t be able to import your images. Images will also only import AFTER the text import has finished, so in reality the import could still be going on for several hours after you receive the confirmation that the import is complete. Don’t delete anything on the existing site or take it offline until you’re sure all your images are in the media library on this side.
4. Once everything is moved over, you can add a domain mapping upgrade at My Site ->Domains to connect your domain to us. Full instructions here:
Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
5. Lastly, if you want us to move your Jetpack followers and/or stats over from the existing site to the new one, let me know once you’ve completed everything else. They site will still need to be online and Jetpack connected for me to do this. Once I’ve migrated your followers and stats I’ll let you know, and then you can take the old site offline.
Some people might be following your site via RSS readers. We won’t be able to move those over, so it might be a good idea to publish a post on your site warning your readers of the upcoming move. If you connect your domain here your site will still be at the same link, so browser bookmarks and old shared links should still work, but that way people who follow via RSS will know they need to resubscribe once your site has moved.
I think that covers everything, but let me know if you have any questions. You can also see here:

Today is my birthday and I woke up to these wonderfully detailed instructions. Thank you so much. I’m going to do it. I’ll be back to you.
