My blog is not appearing on tag list.

  Hi, my blog is not appearing on the tag list.

  E.g. if I put “religion” as one of my tags it doesn’t pop up there.

  I have contacted support and deleted my cache, cookies but the problem still persists.

  Any tips anyone?

  Your latest post is December 28, which was a while ago. Did you page thru the tags pages?

  I think some of the reason may be that some of your posts have too many tags and categories. A while ago, due to spammers, wordpress.COM instituted a limit on the total number of tags and categories you could assign to a post and still appear on the global tags pages. The limit, according to staff is 12 (total of tags + categories). Examples: 2 categories + 10 tags, or 4 categories + 8 tags.

  Again, this was because people were abusing the system and in some extreme cases, they were assigning the same 100+ tags to each post they made regardless of whether the tags were appropriate or not.

  My first suggestion is to go back through each of your posts and get the total number at 12 or less. I think you will find that you will then appear on the tags pages.

  I’ve just tried that and gone through some posts with too many tags and categories and made sure they’re below 12.

  Still doesn’t work.

  You might have to contact staff then since we volunteers do not have access to any of the backend stuff to see what might be causing it.

  Hmm..ok

  but it doesn’t pop up on tag surfer.

  Support said they’ll get back to me when they can.

  Other people with similar tags will see your posts on tag surfer. Just not you when you are logged in.
