My blog is not indexed by Google

  Hello! I started this blog more than three months ago and, apart from those who makes a visit because I share my content on my Facebook (very limited), nobody arrives here, because it seems impossible for someone to discover it. For some reason, it doesen’t appear the be indexed by Google. Why is that? Have I done something wrong? I don’t feel motivated to write anymore, because of that. Thank you!

  It can take Google some time to index new sites.

  You can track their progress by verifying your site in their search console: https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/#google-search-console

  What’s the point of having a blog if it takes 6 months or even more to be present on search engines? I tried using Google console, but somehow I failed to verify my site. No wonder, since the explanations are like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_ACRdZVYwk

  We have no control over Google and their search engine crawl times. But when you say you tried to verify your site, did you follow the steps here?

  https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/#google-search-console

  If so, please provide the exact error message you received. Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  I’ve tryied the html file method, but I don’t understand where I have to upload that file on my blog. The link from my previous post, the one you will ultimatley find there, fails to explain the most important part.

  I did manage to verify my site (using the html tag option). Thank you! Unfortunately, I don’t understand a thing about what that really means and how should I use it. I’ll search for some info.
