My blog is not linking correctly on Social Media channels

    My blog (www.avecamourlauren.com) is not linking correctly on social media channels. For example – when I type the link to Facebook the thumbnail image does not show. The link will take me to my blog but there is no image. I have tried this several times over the course of the week from different computers but nothing is working. I have also tried to debug the link on Facebook but this does not work either.

    My blog also does not show on Bloglovin which is another social media site I use. When I try to search or add my blog to Bloglovin it states “We couldn’t find any blogs matching your search”.

    I have read online that there may be a problem with my blog’s RSS… I do not know what this means?

    I am very frustrated as I pay annually for the domain but if it is not working on my social media channels it is not much use as I can’t promote my blog.

    Please can someone help me by fixing this problem, or please tell me what I need to do.

    I used the Facebook object debugger on your homepage, avecamourlauren.com and was able to get the thumbnail to appear on Facebook’s share templates:

    It took a couple of tries, so it’s possible Facebook is seeing a lot of traffic through that tool right now and your first attempt just didn’t process fully.

    If you’re seeing that issue on any other specific URLs within your site, make sure you’ve setting Featured Images for that post/page, then fetch new scrape information for the URL with that Facebook tool.

    Bloglovin does not correctly find RSS feeds for our sites that use custom domains. However, if you’ll enter the feed’s exact url ( http://avecamourlauren.com/feed/ ) instead of just avecamourlauren.com, Bloglovin is able to locate it.

    We’ve reported the issue to them, but I’m not sure where it stands on being fixed.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks very much for your help – both your suggestions solved my problems!

    I just needed to add an image to the featured image section which solved the problem of the thumbnail not showing on the links in Facebook, and changing the link for Bloglovin’ also worked!
