MY BLOG IS NOT SHOWING
-
You have re-directed my blog Caro Ness Author to caroness.co.uk ( this website is not owned by me and I have none of the passwords to access it). I asked my friend who specialises in wordpress sites if he could help and this is what he came up with.
I expect my website to be restored immediately I am so angry that this has happened, I am a premium customer. I’m devastated at the loss of my work and expect to be compensated. Here is a note from my friend.
I expect to hear from you immediately.
Caro Ness
Couldn’t find anything on blog wrong so checked 301 re-direct.
This is what I’ve found:
Response
Checked link: http://caronessauthor.wordpress.com
Type of redirect: 301 Moved Permanently
Redirected to: http://caroness.co.uk/
So as I expected there is a 301 redirect which I doubt Caro has done at the push of a button.
Could be a hack.
Best to send in a support ticket to WordPress to get them to sort it. It could be a problem with them! You can only do a redirect with WordPress.com if you pay for an upgrade.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can help you sort this out.
So, just to clarify, you did not intend to have your WordPress.com site mapped to the domain caroness.co.uk? Or that was something you wanted to do but are having problems with it? If it is the former, I can remove that mapping for you.
If it is the latter, it looks like the nameservers for caroness.co.uk are not pointing to WordPress.com yet. That would account for the fact that your WordPress.com site is not coming up when caroness.co.uk is entered.
Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMFor more information, please visit the help documentation provided by the registrar and our support page:

Thanks so much root josh! But I am a total imbecile in all things technical. I did not want my blog to connect to caroness.co.uk at all. I did have a premium account which expires later this month and I think that my account was switched to caroness.co.uk as administrator and now I can’t do anything! The caroness.co.uk site was set up by my partner to be a future website for me and was bit active. I simply don’t know what to do.

I have removed the domain mapping for caroness.co.uk and you should be good to go at http://caronessauthor.wordpress.com/ again.
Let me know if you have any trouble.

I am afraid that I still am not able to access the site. It is still reverting to caroness.co.uk – how long will it take to revert? Would you also ensure that I am shown as administrator so I can do anything on my site?

Your browser may be looking at a cached version of the page. You can try either clearing your cache, using a different browser, or loading the page and then holding the shift key while you click reload/refresh.
You are the site “owner” so you are an administrator by default.
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

You might just try using a different browser if you want to check that it’s working but do not want to clear your cache.
You can also use a “private” or “incognito” window, which should do the same thing. To do that, open the “file” menu in Chrome and click on “new incognito window”.

Happy to help.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Otherwise, thanks for using WordPress.
