  and i cannot edit the domain. i can edit my blog within wordpress, but not where my blog is being hosted. how can i edit my domain?

  I’m not exactly sure what you mean my “edit my domain” but since we don’t do anything with self-hosting here, you need to inquire at your hosting company. This forum is for technical assistance with blogs here on the wordpress.com free-hosting service and it operates entirely differently than yours.

  my website is hosted at hostmonster.com, but it is a wordpress blog. does that make sense? in other words, at hostmonster, you can set up a wordpress blog. but now that it’s up and running, i can’t edit it. thanks very much for caring.

  That’s a self-hosted blog powered by wordpress software. You can get help at http://wordpress.org/support

  We use different software here at wordpress.com

  i was just told that i can access the site using wp-admin, which did work. thanks!
