Hi. I recently got back into blogging after a long hiatus. Two things.
1. I would love to make new entries visible to the public but keep old entries private. I’ve since changed my writing style and don’t necessarily want the old entries to be visible. Is there a way to do this?
2. I changed my settings to ‘public’ again after this hiatus, but my blog is still showing up as private when I try to link to it on Facebook. What’s going on here?

For point 1, you’d have to go into each old post and set the visibility to private. To do this quickly, you can use the Bulk Actions feature.
First, go to your posts page:

– Tick the box next to each post you want to mark as Private.
– At the top or bottom of the list of posts, there is a drop down box which says Bulk Actions. Click on this, click Edit, then Click Apply.
– Lots of stuff appears at the top of the screen. Find the Drop down box labelled Status, and change this to Private.
– Save your changes by clicking the blue Update button.As for point 2., I would imagine that it will take some time for this new setting to populate to the rest of the web, but maybe someone else has a better answer for this.
