My blog is using wrong Twitter handle on Share button

  It’s just been brought to my attention by a reader that the Twitter share button attached to my blog is using the wrong Twitter handle.

  It’s currently using @vintotinto27.

  The correct Twitter handle should be @armchairsomm.

  I can’t figure out how to fix this. Any advice/guidance appreciated.

  Disconnect the Publicize app from the wrong account.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
  Then reconnect it to the correct one.

  Thanks for your suggestion.

  I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Twitter share settings/account.

  The weird thing is that is shows up as “connected as @armchairsomm”. But when I go to my blog and click the Twitter share button, it says (for my most recent post):

  “How ‘Bout Them Apples? http://wp.me/p2Y7Je-2r0 via @vinotinto27”

  It should say @armchairsomm.

  Not sure what else to do?? Please advise.

  No worries. Apparently, this has been going on for quite some time (without my knowledge). A reader noticed it, thank goodness. Waiting for the right resolution isn’t a big deal at all. It’ll get worked out.

  Hi there,

  When you enter a new Twitter handle, that handle is only used on posts you publish after that point — it won’t automatically change the Twitter handle that’s used for sharing older posts. I just updated that for you, though, so all your posts are now using the new Twitter handle. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!

  P.S. I really like your “Home” photo for the Photography 101 course. Water towers make me think of home, too. :)

  Thanks so much for your help! I absolutely couldn’t figure it out, as I had changed that Twitter handle eons ago, but the Twitter share button was still pulling the old info. Obviously waaaay above my skill set!
