    Hello WP Support
    I recently moved YummyLummy.com from WordPress.com to WordPress.org
Since the move I have not been able to see my new posts in the WordPress reader.
    I’d appreciate your help.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Gary

    Hi Gary!

It doesn’t look like you’re following your new YummyLummy.com blog through the Reader. Can you add it in the URL field here?

    https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

    Hi Jeremy
Thanks. I am though. It’s in the list. When I tried adding again I get the message in the red box “You are already following that blog”. I’ll try unfollowing and refollowing.

    Hey Gary,

It looks like you’re following your old WordPress.com blog still (garydlum.wordpress.com). Since you have your domain mapped to that blog (but pointed elsewhere), the Reader thinks you’re already following yummylummy.com. But, that domain is now self-hosted so it’s actually an entirely different site.

To correct this issue, can you unfollow your old blog? In order to do so, just click the “x” next to “The Old Yummy Lummy” here:

    https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

Then, in the URL address field, enter the new address (yummylummy.com).

Let me know if that works!

    Hello Jeremy
When I unfollowed garydlum.wordpress.com and yummylummy.com and then followed yummylummy.com the reader started following garydlum.wordpress.com instead. I fear what is happening is that new visitors to yummylummy.com are now following garydlum.wordpress.com instead of yummylummy.com
Is there any way to disassociate the two sites?

    Hey Gary,

My apologies – this should be fixed now. When I enter yummylummy.com into the Reader, I see the posts from your self-hosted blog. Can you try unfollowing the site and then following it again?

Once we confirm that this is working correctly, I can transfer your subscribers from garydlum.wordpress.com to your self-hosted blog yummylummy.com.

Let me know if it works for you!

    Hello Jeremy
Thank you. It seems to be working now. I changed a setting in garydlum.wordpress.com yesterday that was still pointing to it being yummylummy.com

I’d really appreciate your moving over all my old subscribers.

    Thank you very much.
    Regards
    Gary

    Hey Gary,

Great! I’m glad the subscription is now working properly. I’m happy to transfer your subscribers. However, first, can you try disconnecting and then reconnecting your self-hosted blog’s Jetpack connection? There are some errors with the connection but a disconnect/reconnect should straighten everything out.

    Hi Jeremy
Thanks. I went through the manual migration process and it seemed to work. I also disconnected and then reconnected Jetpack. I’d appreciate your checking to see that everything is okay.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Gary

    Hey Gary,

It looks like your subscribers were correctly transferred over! Your email subscribers will continue to receive notifications of new posts through email. Your WordPress.com subscribers will receive notifications of new posts through their Reader, but they will need to sign-up to follow your blog via email to receive new post emails. You can use the Blog Subscriptions widget on your self-hosted blog to add a form for users to sign-up through email.

Let me know if you need anything else!
