My blog looks horrible on INTERNET EXPLORER?
-
I have been blogging on my Macbook for the past couple of months, i always use mozilla or safari, and my friend had just showed me on her computer how horrible my blog looks on Internet Explorer…
If you scroll down or up quickly the font gets all out of proportion, one letter taking up the whole site!!?
please help, I am lost on what to do.
My site is: http://loudreams.com

Which version of IE were you looking at? IE6 is notoriously bad and there’s not much you can do about it. But IE7 and IE8 should work okay.
-
your blog looks totally bad in IE8 and IE8 compatibility mode.
it is beyond me why people still use IE but they do.
-
Forget Explorer! I know the problem. But I’m a Mac user. My blog looks horrible on Windows on a PC.

@js – check the placement of the more tag in this post http://loudreams.com/2008/12/01/new-vans-to-make-mouths-melt/ And check this FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/07/08/splitting-posts-with-the-more-tag/ as well as this one http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/
-
so i should just not really worry bout it, cause most people usually use mozilla or any other browser besides IE.
-
no, you should certainly worry about fixing it, great majority of people use IE on daily basis. check the suggestions by vivianpaige, you’re looking at troubleshooting this with the help of support.

when you scroll up and down on IE it makes the words huge, is there something wrong with the coding? I looked at both FAQ’s and it still doesn’t relate to mine. It is only with IE. mozilla and safari look fine. please help!

i tried to change my theme, but it still is doing the same thing. I think it is in my coding or a post, but how do i figure out which one?!
please help!

@jsfaslm10, go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes” at the bottom of the page.
Next, open each post in the editor and change one little thing (like adding a space and then deleting it) and the update (save the post. Do that for each post on your main page.
The W3C validator shows a lot of missing tags – too many to chase down. The above procedure should straighten up things. And also, do as Vivian says and look at the more tags. Take a look at this FAQ: http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/06/17/formatting-issues-with-the-more-tag/

Just visited your blog using Seamonkey web brower on a linux machine, it looks awesome to me. I wouldn’t rush to change it too soon until you’re absolutely sure there’s no fix for IE.

Hi, while on the subject of IE and WP, i have been having below problems with IE8..
1) when there is a comment and after i approve the comment and when i want to reply, i cant type anything in the textbox provided.. The cursor is flashing but i cant type anything there.. In all other browsers FF, Safari (on pc), Chrome, Flock, it works just fine..
2) when writing a new post, the line is not wrapping at the end of the textbox and keeps continuing over all the other text on the right side bar.. Pls see the screenshot on http://manaadiar.wordpress.com/2008/12/18/ie8-affecting-wordpress-performance/..
