My blog not accessible on Google

  • Unknown's avatar

When I google my blog name: “professor haim shore blog” I get a site: “theme.wordpress.com/credits”. This site is an ad to the software I used to customize my blog. However, my blog is not accessible on this site and I do not find it in the search results.

How can this be corrected? How come WordPress uses my blog name to advertise the software I used instead of showing the blog in a google search?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi Haim,

Google does need some time to update their index. Please note that WordPress.com has no control on how your site appears in the Google index and in which position.

WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post/page update. Search engines like Google can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. Connecting a Google account with verified site ownership through Google’s webmaster tools may help register your site for inclusion. Please contact Google for more information.

**Also, on a side note, I found that you currently do not have a Posts page as you set your Front/Posts page as your About page. Readers are only able to see your posts through your sidebar. If you did this intentionally it’s completely fine – I just wanted to let you know!

    Cheers!

I regret very much that WordPress.com does not assist me with resolving my problem. The daughter-company, whose paid-theme I am using, seized my blog name and one sees only its ad page (link to my blog ) when my blog name is googles.

However, my own blog page is not accessible.

    Please try for yourself.

    Hi there,

I think I’m a bit confused with your question. The daughter-company of the theme you paid for seized your blog name? I’m not actually sure what this means as the theme shouldn’t have to do anything with your domain. Can you please clarify for me? Would you happen to have another site? If you do, please let me know and I can look into it for you.

As for haimshore.wordpress.com, you currently only have the Custom Design upgrade on your account. You do not have a Premium Theme or a custom domain associated with your blog. You blog can be found at haimshore.wordpress.com with the free theme: twentyten.

I Googled your blog, and found that your site was the first one to appear as seen in the screenshot below:

You blog is available as seen here:

If you log into your WordPress.com account, you can access your blog’s Dashboard.

If you have any questions about this please let me know!
