My blog not appearing on the Search engine

    Hi,

    We have a self-hosted WordPress website and we’ve recently activated the Jetpack plugin. We wrote a few articles since then but when we do a search here ‘https://wordpress.com/read/search’ with our Blog’s name, we can only find articles of other people mentioning our blog but not our blog itself. Is there something we need to do to be part of the wordpress.com index?

    Hi there!
    Jetpack is wonderful and has many capabilities, but mirroring the content from your self hosted site to WordPress.COM is not one of them. It does help with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) but the search engines look at the entire web, not just WordPress.COM.

    You have taken great care and put much time into your self-hosted site. Beyond mirroring it here i don’t know of a way to get it indexed on WordPress.COM.

    I would love to see if anyone else knows how this might be accomplished.
