  There’s two options for you:

  1. Buy a domain and point it at your existing wordpress.com blog

  or (and a better idea)

  2. Have a read of this post from “One Cool Site” that will give you all the info you need to know:

  Self-hosting and getting a domain name are two different things, though. Which is it you really want? Just the name? For self-hosting, those instructions Cornell gave you are the best. If you want just the name, here are the FAQ instructions:
