Hi there, looking at your site it looks like you posted one blog post that you started on December 11th, 2019 which was only a few days ago.
Search engines can take between 4-6 weeks to crawl and index your site. In the meantime, you can help things along by publishing new blog posts (not adding to the same blog post) with quality content so they have new things to index.
It isn’t strictly necessary since WordPress.com pings search engines when you add new content, but you can also sign up with search engines and add your site’s sitemap.xml

Hope that helps but come back to this thread if you have other questions about this.

Thanks.
I only intend to keep it as one rolling blog. I guess I’ll just link it in my social media profiles and my forum. -
Hello again, regardless of linking to your blog via social media, just be aware that updating or adding to a single blog post on your site will push you down in search engine returns because they are looking for fresh content.
From a visitor viewpoint, reading one very long blog post that is all text, even if it has “chapters,” is a challenge. Try breaking up your post with relevant images (the general rule is 1 image for every 500 words of text). Better yet, try breaking up your single post into several posts, one for each sub-heading, with images.
You can find good suggestions for setting up a blog in our tutorial https://wordpress.com/learn/ and https://en.support.wordpress.com/blogging-u/
If you are writing a book, take a look at this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/
Hope that gives you some food for thought, especially if you are concerned about appearing in search engine returns.

Thanks for the excellent advice. I will go over it tomorrow.
I did consider using images, but I was worried about it looking untidy.I am up for experimenting though!

You’re very welcome. If you don’t want your site to be visible while you are experimenting, you can change your Privacy settings to Private so it won’t be seen by casual visitors or search engines. When you are ready for prime time, you can change your Privacy settings back to Public. More about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
