My blog won’t verify with google…

  I did what was recommended to me regarding adding the html file as a page. However, google says “We’ve detected that your verification file returns a status of 404 (Not found)in the header.

  Please help.

  Maybe you labeled the page as “private”. If so, make it “public”, verify, and then make it “private” again. Also, no need to put .html in the title of the page, just the code generated by google.

  Thanks so much! That did the trick. I took off “html”. Finally!
