    Is it possible that you messed around with the default category for your blogroll, and perhaps even eliminated the default category? That would do it. However, if that’s not the case then I recommend that you send in a feedback.

    Just did that, how will I know if the team is on the bug?

    I’m having a similar problem – I just imported one of my blogs from Blogger, deleted the default entries in the blogroll, and then started adding links to the blogroll, only they don’t show up. And there’s no blogroll widget!

    @sarah
    You have to import your blogroll separately now. I’ll be back with the importing instructions in a few minutes but in between …

    Don’t look for a blogroll widget in the presentation sidebar area instead look here
    -> dashboard -> look right -> write -> look right again -> manage – > look right again -> BLOGROLL (left click)

    no another menu now appears below
    Manage Blogroll -> Add Link -> Import Links

    hope this helps :) hang in

    (1) Blogroll – If you had links, you can export them out at http://mydomain.tld/wp-links-opml.php

    Substitute the url of your old blog for where it says “http:// mydomain.tld” above.

    The process is to save that file to your computer and then and import it into your new blog at Dashboard -> Blogroll -> Import Links.

    The blogroll categories won’t come over but it’s better than copying and pasting all those links yet again. :)

    (2) Save the file to your desktop and import it at Dashboard -> Blogroll -> Import Links. Just like the other file for the rest of the blog, just on a different page.

    (3) Now copy, paste and save the file in NotePad as then it will automatically been saved as a .txt file in plain text. It needs to be saved as a *.txt doc because when you save it as a rich text doc, you add in stuff like fonts and whatnot that mess it up for what we’re doing here. (So don’t use WordPad or Word to save the file in use NotePad.)

    (4) After you import the links you have to sort the links in the blogroll into categories though. (OPML doesn’t support categories I’m afraid.)

    Edit: Sarah – I have to sign off now. If you need further help it will have to come from one of the beloved geeks who know more about importing then I do. I’ve only done this once.

    @Sarah
    I have looked again at the link I gave you and realized this when I did my export and import it was from a wordpress blog to a wordpress blog. Therefore the location I gave you to export them out of will not be correct.
    I also note that you have posted into a thread with a title that desn’t say anthing about export and import so it’s not likely that bloggers who have such knowledge will twig to this thread.
    Would you please wait until tomorrow morning and I will bump this up to drmike so he can give you the correct OMPL link for blogger exports.

    @drmike
    This is a bump – I did the best I could and then worried about this all night.
