my blog's disappointing following

  I’m able to send a link to my blog via Twitter and Facebook, but the amount of interest shown is rather disappointing. Is there a way – for a technophobe – to open it up for more people to see? People who are not Facebook friends or Twitter followers.

  Fix the header picture – a 5 Mb header takes to long to load, turns off search engines and visitors – get it down to 100 Kb or so

  Put the Subscribe by email Widget on the sidebar so if someone visits they can subscribe – also put the RSS subscribe Widgets toward the top of the sidebar

  Set the feed t Summery: Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> Feed show summery

  Make sure the Post title and lead sentence or 100 words grab your attention

  Use the More Tag to make paging down your site easier and quicker
