I’m trying to link my existing wordpress (cookingintolerance.wordpress.com) blog to a domain i bought off Hostgator.

which domain you want to link??? and is cookingintolerance.wordpress.com is your existing blog??

first of all do one thing ….if you own a new domain then first of all Export Your WordPress Posts from your existing wordpress blog . You can find the Export option under the Manage tab in your WordPress dashboard. You have to save the file somewhere on your hard drive where you can find it a little later to link up with other domain….
