My blog’s not accessible.

    For whatever reason, my blog isn’t accessible anymore. Neither I nor anyone else can open it up at all. I’m on the free plan and can’t do anything about it. I haven’t even been notified by WP at all about this and a reader had to bring it to my attention.
    What do I do?

    Your site is loading fine on my end. If you cannot load it, I suspect an internet connection issue, so I recommend restarting your router or trying a different internet connection.

    If this doesn’t help, you can contact your hosting provider and see if they can help you out.

    It seems to be fixed now but yesterday through most of the day and during the evening/night, it wasn’t accessible to me or anyone else while other sites loaded just fine. My readers messaged me letting know about a “HTTP Error 500” but the WP Reader worked.

    To reiterate the issue maybe:

    My hosting provider is WordPress.com – The only way to contact you guys is through the forum here. The issue wasn’t my internet since I was able to browse other people’s blogs without any issues and since I was able to formulate this forum post up there with an issue.

    It sounds like there was a loading issue there, with the HTTP 500 – are you able to confirm if the internet connection was functioning as intended?

    Yes, I can confirm that my internet connection was working as intended. I played games and watched shows on the same evening without any issues. I was able to write this forum post as well without any issues and other websites would load perfectly fine, too.

    I’m currently running my blog on WordPress.com via the free plan. The only support I get is this forum, so… yeah.

  • A few other bits of information will help us try to get a better idea of what’s going on. Thanks for sticking with us here.

    1. Could you tell us more about where you are located in the world?

    2. Are you using a VPN or proxy of any kind?

    3. Could you take a screen shot using https://snipboard.io/ and share the URL with us so we can see the error screen?

    4. When this happens again, can you use your mobile phone to do two things:
    – A: View your site while connected to local wifi
    – B: View your site while using cell data (not on local wifi)

    Can you tell us how that went?
